Picus and Moon Daisy met at the moorings on Friday evening before leaving for Stalham around 13.30.  Cruise leaders, Sally and Mike were late leaving Hunters yard due to a mix up of boats but soon caught Picus up on route to How Hill for the lunchtime stop.  Picus, Moon Daisy, Moondream, Swallowtail (Evergreen) and Hustler enjoyed a very sunny lunch before making their way North.  Barton Broad was lovely and windy, Pinkers, Bewitched and Ranger 3 all joined to create some lovely sailing images.

A following SW wind meant a cracking sail up to Stalham.  Richardsons had allowed us to moor our boats on the end of Kingfisher quay which proved very pleasant.  Clean and tidy with power (Ceres made use of this), water and Jimmy even topped up his diesel.  As we had Two birthday girls on Saturday,(Ruth and Julie)  Cake and Prosecco created a nice stomach lining for what The Swan in Stalham High Street had to offer later.

A short walk to the Swan, we sat in one of the small barns and one of their pods in the back yard which given how lovely the evening was, was perfect.  Vicki and her staff looked after us, the food and drink was plentiful and good value.  Colin got his guitar out, we finished off the evening with a good old EACC sing song, some locals even joined in.

No one could believe just how quite the mooring was.  Every one was slow getting up.  Some took their dogs off for a walk in the woods opposite the main road and some made good use of the showers.  By some kind of magic, the wind had turned through 180 degrees meaning that we had a pleasant following wind sail back onto Barton Broad.  A brisk sail around making sure that we didn't get in the way of the Punt club racing before rafting up for lunch.

Everyone left after another brisk sail around and made their way back to respective bases. Ceres and Bewitched continued north to Dilham to take in the Pantaloons performance of Robin Hood on the village playing field.
