SKIPPER'S CHALLENGE DAY

Saturday, 6th September

Event Leader: Jamie Martin-Bennett

2024 Winner: Team Pippinjack

Briefing: Club moorings at 11am

The Skipper’s Challenge Day is a  purely fun event and is a great way to involve friends and family with experiencing the beautiful Broads, no matter your age or boating capability. The day is predominantly a fun day, designed to enable friends and family to come together on the water completing a few fun challenges whilst having a leisurely sail or motor around the beautiful  Northern RiversThere will even be special challenges for our junior members!

The briefing in the morning will outline the plan for the day, which will include the instructions on the treasure hunt on the water, the challenges to complete during the day and also things to look out for. The day has been designed so  everyone on board can be involved in solving the challenges.

Teams will enter by boat name and will compete against the other boats, with challenges designed to appeal to all ages, so no one will be disadvantaged. In fact, Teams with juniors (U18) on board will be positively rewarded, so encourage your younger friends and families to join you on the water for the day for bonus points!

Teams can have lunch whilst on the move or moor up at a convenient location, before returning back to the club moorings by 4:30pm to submit their challenge results.

Once back, teams can catch up on their antics from the day before the results will be announced, and then members are welcome to stay on the moorings for dinner and drinks. The club BBQ will be available for anyone that would like to use it.

To help with the planning for the day, please can you email skipper your boat name if you would like to participate in the day.
