Spring Cruise Report 2021
We think the weather must have conspired against all plans for our Mini Spring Cruises
as even those that ventured out did so with seriously curtailed plans
So here's the one and only report to date: Evergreen, Pippinjack, Sandpiper and (when Sandpiper left) Lily
I really wasn’t keen but Colin & Frankie were coming to Norfolk so we arranged to meet at Hunters Yard Saturday evening and planned to go through Potter Bridge Sunday Morning. Saturday evening was lovely as it was Jane’s Birthday and great to celebrate it with her, also we had electricity!! Sunday morning Colin & Frankie had to return home to sort a gardening injury. Jane and I immediately decided (without consulting the men) that we should have a day sail to Ranworth and then go home. Roger and Lesley were aboard Lily on her mooring as we passed and accepted the invitation to join us. In a cold, stiff breeze we beat agaist the tide to Ranworth, enjoyed a delightful lunchtime mudweighted in a sheltered bay on the broad and then, as luck would have it, we beat against the tide all the way back! Enjoyable but very cold and not the weekend we had hoped for. Now really looking forward to some warmer weather.
